Ceneco energizes all barangays
in coverage areas, Cordova says

The Central Negros Electric Cooperative has achieved its mission to energize all the barangays in its coverage areas by 100 percent, Ceneco president Roy Cordova said during the 42nd Annual General Membership Assembly yesterday.

Cordova said that after they have energized all its barangays, they will now concentrate on sitio and household energization covering the puroks and other remote areas, like haciendas, for 2018. About 40 percent of the sitios have not yet been energized.

They are also empowering member-consumer-owners in the different barangays under their coverage areas by organizing them. They will be Ceneco’s partners in disseminating information to the consumers in the barangays about the programs of the power utility firm, he said.

LTO holds dialog on overloading

The Land Transportation Office will hold a dialog-conference with millers, truck owners, the Department of Public Works and Highways, and the National Economic and Development Authority on the law against overloading, at the Social Hall of the Capitol in Bacolod City today.

LTO 6 regional director Roland Ramos said they will be strictly implementing the law against overloading of cargoes.

This will serve as the last and final warning to them after they also warned them three months ago. He is now issuing a directive to implement the law against overloading and there will be no “sacred cows” in his administration, he said.
