At least PHP.5 million worth of suspected shabu was seized in a series of buy-bust operations in Bacolod City, Friday to yesterday.
Members of the City Drug Enforcement Unit nabbed a High Value Target and her companion in Barangay Villamonte, Bacolod City, at about 7:30 p.m. Friday.
Karla Umadhay, 24, the subject of the operation, and Romeo Gumban, 44, were apprehended for allegedly selling suspected shabu, a police report said.
The arrest of Umadhay and Gumban yielded 16 sachets of suspected shabu with a police-estimated street value of about P500,000, and P500 in marked money, police records show.
Meanwhile, a store owner was arrested for allegedly also selling suspected shabu in PurokSigay, Barangay 2 in Bacolod, at about 2:35 p.m. Saturday.
Jennifer Abetong, 39, was nabbed with four sachets of suspected shabu worth P2,000, P500 in marked money, and P200 in cash, police records show.
Meanwhile, four sachets of suspected shabu with a street-value of about P45,000 were seized from a man during a buy-bust operation in Purok 6, Magsungay in Barangay Singcang-Airport, Bacolod, at about 2 a.m. yesterday, the police said.
Police Station 8 nabbed JovenDadivas, 29, and recovered from him the suspected shabu, P500 in marked money, drugs paraphernalia, and P600 in cash, police records show.
The police said they also arrested Mark Escosora, 34, and Martin Aliling, 26, who were present during the operation.*SGG
