Another suspected drug personality was apprehended yesterday by the police and operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency during a buy-bust operation in Brgy. Recreo, Pontevedra, Negros Occidental.
Nabbed was Rey Nillos, 28, who topped the drug watch list of the Pontevedra Police Station.
The arrest of Nillos yielded four sachets of suspected shabu and P1,000 in cash.
Nillos was the seventh drug personality collared by the PNP and PDEA in Negros Occidental this week, in operations that yielded more than half a kilo of shabu, estimated to have a market value of P6.8 million.
The Pontevedra police is now readying the drug-related charges against Nillos, who is now in jail.
Senior Inspector Junjie Liba also reported yesterday the filing of charges for violation of RA 9165, or the Comprehensive Drug Act of 2002, against drug suspect Ronald Aguinaldo, who was arrested on Jan. 24 in Brgy. Mabini, Valladolid.
The arrest of Aguinaldo yielded two sachets of suspected shabu and P500 in marked money, Liba said.
PDEA regional director Wardly Getalia disclosed earlier that they have noticed the emerging of new players in the illegal drug trade in the Western Visayas. * GPB
