NOHS Inter-Class bowlfest
finals slated today at NSL

The top five teams in the three divisions of the Negros Occidental High School Alumni Inter-class Bowling Tournament will vie for the title today in the final round of the competition hosted by Class'93 at the Negros Super Lanes in Bacolod City.

Clashing for the coveted crown in the premiere division are Batch '94, Batch '97, Class '66, Class '85 and Batch '90.

Batch '94 has the twice-to- beat advantage after topping the elimination phase, while Batch '90 and Class '85 will go up against each other in the first game of the up-the-ladder system.

In Category B, Class '99 has the twice-to-beat edge over its possible contender. The four other teams vying for the title are Class '89, Batch '95, Class '80 and Class '87.

Class '70 has the twice-to-beat advantage in Category C and will face the winner in the up-the-ladder system which Class '88; Class '86, Batch '92 and Class '67 need to get through to advance to the fnals.

Batch '92 faces Class '67 in the first game with the winner facing Class '86 in the second game.

In the battle of the tournament top 10 players, Cheryl Bacay of Batch 95 and Raymund Galvan of Batch 2000-up bagged the master bowler title.

Meanwhile, four teams from Bacolod Citywill participate in the two-day 2018 Dinagyang Open Trio Duckpin Bowling Tournament at St. Elizabeth Bowling Alley in Jaro, Iloilo City.

To represent Bacolod in the event are BCY/La Filipina Trading I and II of Bobby Yap, Davies Team of Edgar Jerez, and PLS Electronz/ASSFBI of Pat Mendoza.

Up for grabs is P 25,000 cash plus a trophy for the champion, P16,000 and P10,000 for first and second runners-up.*HLG
