arrested for drugs

The renewed anti-drug campaign of the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office led to the arrest of six more suspects on Wednesday and Thursday in the cities of Silay, Sagay, Cadiz and the town of Valladolid.

Three of the six suspects, one a minor, were apprehended yesterday during a buy-bust operation at Villa Hergon in Brgy. Rizal. Silay City

Nabbed were Jerry Jaen, of legal age, Efraim Alterado Jr., 25, and and a 16-year-old, whose identity is being withheld by the police.

The Silay police recovered four sachets of suspected shabu and P300 in marked money.

Chief Inspector Robert Mansueto also reported yesterday the arrest of Ricky Bacay, alias Dondon, in Brgy.Rizal, Sagay City, Negros Occidental.

Mansueto,who is the Sagay City police chief said, in his report to the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office that, Bacay was flagged down by PO2 Alvin Alvior, who was driving a motorcycle under the influence of liquor.

Bacay, of Brgy. Dian-ay, Escalante City, was apprehended by PO2 Alvior for creating alarm and scandal and for resisting arrest, after he insulted the police officer.

The police also recovered three sachets of suspected shabu worth P1,000, and P19,420 in cash, a Samsung cellular phone and Kawasaki Barako 175 motorcycle.

Policemen also arrested Jose Marie Terre, alias Lyndon, during a buy-bust operation in Brgy Zone 2, Cadiz City, on Wednesday.

Nine sachets of suspected shabu, estimated to have a market value of P7,000, assorted drug paraphernalia, P500 in marked money, and P700 in cash were recovered from Terre, according to the Cadiz police.

Another drug suspect identified as Ronald Aguinaldo, alias RonRon, was also apprehended in a buy-bust operation on Wednesday in Brgy. Mabini, Valladolid, Negros Occidental.

The apprehension of Aguinaldo by the Valladolid PNP, in tandem with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, yielded two sachets of suspected shabu and P500 in marked money.

Senior Inspector Junjie Liba, Valladolid police chief, said Aguinaldo is a newly identified drug personality in the town.* GPB
