Hike in fuel prices noted in
Bacolod, Dumaguete

Fuel prices in Bacolod and Dumaguete City from the four major oil companies increased to P0.80 per liter, the Pump Price Monitoring record of the Department of Energy-Visayas Field Office showed.

Based on their price monitoring conducted Jan. 16 to 17, pump prices of all kinds of petroleum products of Caltex, Petron, Shell, and Total have increased, from P0.80 to P1.28 from previous monitoring in the first week of the month.

Premium gasoline with 98 and 95 octane, and unleaded gasoline (ULG) showed a P0.80 per liter increase, while the price of automotive diesel oil (ADO) increased by P0.55 per liter.

In retail price, Bacolod prices of Petron gas increased from P52.33 to P53.13 (98 octane), P47.73 to P48.53 (95 octane), P46.59 to P47.39 (91 octane or unleaded), and P36.44 to P36.99 (ADO); for Caltex, the price went from P47.73 to P48.53 (95 octane), P46.58 to P47.38 (91 octane/unleaded), and P36.45 to P37 (ADO).

For Shell, the price also went up from P47.98 to P48.78 (95 octane), P46.83 to P47.63 (91 octane), and P36.49 to P37.04 (ADO); and for Total Philippines, the prices were from P47.50 to P48.30 (95 octane), P46.40 to P47.20 (91 octane), and P36.50 to P37.05 (ADO).

Records also show that in Dumaguete, Caltex fuel prices rose from P44.20 to P45 (95 octane), P44 to P44.80 (91 octane), and P36.80 to P37.35 (ADO); for Petron, prices went up from P43.86 to P44.66 (95 octane), P43.67 to P44.47 (91 octane), and P36.36.63 to P37.18 (ADO).

Shell fuel prices also had increases, from P43.95 to P44.75 (95 octane), P43.75 to P44.55 (91 octane), and P36.80 to P37.35.

Kerosene price of Caltex also increased by P0.55, from P50.30 to P50.93,and Petron kerosene by P1.28, from P41.35 to P42.63, in Dumaguete, the records added.*MLG
