Orange-AA Electrical faces
POC in D-League final

Orange-AA Electrical beat Capitol, 86-79, in the semifinals to clash a titular showdown against POC in the D-League Basketball Tournament Wednesday night at STI-West Negros University Gym in Bacolod City.

POC advanced to the finals after conquering Akasya, 54-45, in the other semi-final clash.

In their semi-final showdown, Capitol took an early 25-21 lead in the first quarter with Born Enaya registering 12 points and MarteSellado adding 8 while AA Electrical got a combined 17-point production from George Delos Reyes and NielToleco.

AA Electrical caught up with Capitol in the second quarter as Joshua Abaring hit 10 points. Capitol held their ground and refused to yield the lead as Daryl dela Cruz and RoniBiri delivered 4 points each for a 37-all deadlock at halftime.

Dave Andog anchored AA Electrical's offense in the third quarter as he scored 10 points while teammate JP Peornato added 6 to their team a 3-point lead at 57-54 going into the final quarter despite the 8-point contribution from RR dela Cruz for Capitol.

Orange AA Electrical sealed the win as Mic Jara and Peornato combined for 13 points to hold off Capitol.

Abaing topscored for Orange-AA Electrical with 12 points while Peornato tallied 12 points apiece. Jara added 11 points, Delos Reyes with 9 and Toleco finished the game with 8 points.

Enaya led Capitol with 25 points while RRdela Cruz tallied 14 and Sellado contributed 12 points.

Meanwhile, POC got a lift in the first quarter as Paul Cruz hit three triples and Jaypee Barzanas adding 7 points to pull away at 22-8 against Akasya.

POC remained ahead in the second quarter for a 37-20 lead at the break.

Akasya outscored POC in the second half, 25-17, but it was not enough to prevent POC from advancing to the finals against Orange AA Electrical.*
