Dumaguete gov't buys
2 garbage compactors
BY RENE GENOVE

The Dumaguete City government purchased recently two additional brand new garbage compactors to boost the collection efficiency of the Environment and Natural Resources Office.

Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo said that at present the city has four brand new units, which will significantly improve the trash collection efficiency of ENRO to meet the growing needs of the city.

For many years, ENRO has been plagued with frequent breakdowns of its old garbage trucks, leading to the accumulation of uncollected garbage across the city, that is deemed detrimental to the health and well-being of residents and visitors.

Present at the blessing ceremony were Vice Mayor Franklin Esemena, councilors Alan Cordova, Karissa Toletino, Lilani Ramon, Estanislao Alviola, Jose Victor Imbo and Lionel Banogon, and department and division heads of the city, led by City Administrator Ricardo Gonzales Jr. and City Assistant Administrator Dinno Depositario.*RG
