BY SHIELA GELERA

Four vehicles were damaged and a driver was injured in a freak road mishap in front of the Valley of Peace at the Circumferential Road in Barangay Mandalagan, Bacolod City, at about 3:10 p.m. yesterday.

Damaged were a Toyota HiAce van, Isuzu Fuego, Isuzu Elf closed van, and an Isuzu dump truck, Police Officer 2 Richard Dema-ala, traffic investigator, said.

The driver of the Toyota HiAce van identified as Nathaniel Dotdrera, 64, of Barangay 28 in Bacolod, sustained injuries and was brought to The Doctors' Hospital, Dema-ala said.

Investigation showed that the van swerved to the left and hit the Isuzu dump truck that was on its lane. One of the front tires of the dump truck hit the Isuzu Elf closed van, causing the latter to fall on its side, Dema-ala said.

Due to the impact, the Toyota HiAce van also moved backwards and hit the tailing Isuzu Fuego pickup, Dema-ala added.*SGG
