Three police officers in Bacolod City were recently ordered dismissed for misappropriation of their issued firearms, Senior Supt. Francisco Ebreo, officer-in-charge ofthe Bacolod City Police Office, said yesterday.
Ebreo however, withheld their names pending the filing of their appeals and availability of the implementing order from the regional headquarters.
A source told the DAILY STAR that the three are all police non-commissioned officers assigned atthe BCPO headquarters. They were ordered dismissed formalversation of government property.
“They were found guilty of grave misconduct pursuant to NAPOLCOM (National Police Commission) Memorandum Circular 2016-002 after they misappropriated their respective firearms,” Ebreo said in a text message.
The decision was signed by Chief Supt. Cesar Hawthorne Binag as the disciplinary authority on Dec. 15, 2017, Ebreo added.
The police officers will be given a chance to file their appeals to determine if implementing ordersfor their dismissal willbe released or not.*SGG
