Nine persons, including a high-value target, and two others on the watchlist, were arrested in a series of anti-drug operations in Bacolod City, Saturday and yesterday.
The police nabbed a high-value target of the Bacolod City Police Office during a buy-bust operation in Purok Dughan, San Juan Street in Barangay 12, Bacolod, at about 6:15 a.m. yesterday.
Glenn Fidel, 33, of Barangay 6 in Bacolod handed an elongated heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet of suspected shabu to the police poseur-buyer, in exchange for P500 in marked money, a police report said.
Five more sachets of suspected shabu were recovered from Fidel, police records show.
Fidel is also a member of the Villarete Robbery Hold-up group, a report from Police Regional Office-6 said.
Also arrested were a suspected pusher on the police watch list and two men who were allegedly having a drug session during a buy-bust operation in Purok 6, Barangay Singcang-Airport in Bacolod City, at about 5:25 a.m. Saturday.
Joemar Benjamin, 33, who was on the watch list of Station 8, gave a sachet of suspected shabu worth P500 to the police poseur-buyer, a report from Bacolod City Police Office said.
Recovered from Benjamin were four sachets of suspected shabu, an improvised tooter with visible traces of suspected shabu, several drugs paraphernalia, and P540 in cash, police records show.
Also nabbed were James Rojas, 25, and Jonathan Traje, 46, of the barangay, who were having a drug session, and seized from them were an improvised tooter with visible traces of suspected shabu and a disposable lighter each, the police said.
Police Station 4 personnel also apprehended a woman included in the top 10 drug pushers confidential list in Purok Star Apple 2, Barangay 27 in Bacolod, at about 11:45 p.m. Saturday.
CharmyPalandras, 23, of the barangay was nabbed with four sachets of suspected shabu, P500 in marked money, and P1,200 in cash, police records show.
A 21-year-old man was arrested in PurokParaiso, SitioSibucao in Barangay Banago, Bacolod City, at about 11:40 p.m. Saturday.
Station 3 personnel nabbed RaymartMaat, of the barangay and seized from him two sachets of suspected shabu, a weighing scale and a disposable lighter, Senior Insp. Jun Ray Batadlan, the station commander, reported.
Meanwhile, three persons, including a minor,were endorsed to Station 1 when suspected shabu was seized from them during OplanSita at Araneta Street in Bacolod, at about 4:25 a.m. Saturday.
Arrested were Mark Dave Hablo, 22, of Cadiz City, Marvin Maliguid, 24, of Escalante City in Negros Occidental, and a male minor.
The police flagged down the Rusi motorcycle with three persons on board but the latter fled and was later arrested in a brief chase.
When frisked, a small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet of suspected shabu, an improvised tooter with traces of suspected shabu, and a plastic tube were seized from the suspects, police records show.
The minor was turned over to the Social Development Center.*SGG
