About P109,500 worth of suspected shabu was seized in buy-bust operations in barangays 2 and Handumanan in Bacolod City, Thursday and yesterday.
The wife of a high-value target was nabbed during a buy-bust operation in Purok Sigay, Barangay 2 in Bacolod City, at about 11:30 a.m. yesterday.
Police Station 2 operatives arrested Belinda Cuadra, 47, of the barangay, a police report said.
Cuadra gave an elongated heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet of suspected shabu to the police poseur-buyer, in exchange for P500 in marked money, the police said.
Two more sachets of suspected shabu, P400 in cash believed to be proceeds from the sale of shabu, and a coin purse, were recovered from Cuadra, police records show.
Chief Insp. BenedictoVillarias, Station 2 commander, estimated the street-value of seized suspected shabu at P3,000.
Station 10 personnel apprehended a woman ranked first in their target drug personalities list in Purok San Roque 1, Phase 6A in Barangay Handumanan, Bacolod City, at about 2:20 p.m. yesterday.
Mary Liza Pahamutang, 33, was nabbed with four plastic sachets of suspected shabu, an improvised tooter, a cellular phone, a pouch and P200 in cash, a report fromthe BCPO said.
Chief Insp. Charles Gever placed the estimated street-value of suspected shabu confiscated at P1,500.
Meanwhile, about P105,000 worth of suspected shabu was seized from a teenager, also in Barangay 2, at about 5 p.m. Thursday.
Members of the Bacolod City Intelligence Unit apprehended Marwin Navarro, 18, of the barangay, during a buy-bust operation, a report from the PRO-6 said.
The arrest of Navarro yielded seven sachets of suspected shabu and P500 in cash, the report also said.
The police also nabbed SheddahApawan, 32, who was present during the operation, the report added.*SGG
