‘tourist is a friend' drive
BY CHRYSEE SAMILLANO

“We have proven that Bacolod City has the potential and capacity to bring in tourists,” Bacolod Mayor Evelio Leonardia yesterday said upon learning that the city ranked second to Boracay in terms of foreign tourist arrivals in Western Visayas in 2017.

That is definitely good news, he said, adding that this should serve as an inspiration and encouragement for them to work harder together so more tourists will come.

“We believe that the more tourists we have, the better for our economy,” Leonardia said. .moremoremore

Ceneco to re-compute
P414M recovery charges

The president of Central Negros Electric Cooperative said they will re-compute the P414.6 million over/under recovery that they plan to collect from their consumers, so they will arrive at a transparent figure.

Roy Cordova said yesterday that they were directed by the Energy Regulatory Commission to hold a conference to revisit the P414.6 million over/under recovery before the Commission resolves the case.

He said they will re-compute the amount together with the intervenors and hope that the P414.6 million will be reduced, and Ceneco will be able to refund its consumers..
