capture title in Trio Duckpin tilt


BCY 2 – La Filipina escaped with a 313-309 victory over the Solid Strikers/ASSFBI to bag the crown in the premiere division, while KMH – Mike Corral and ASSFBI Ladies reigned in the category B and women’s department of the 15 th Bowlers Club of Bacolod City Open Trio Duckpin Bowling Tournament 2018 at the Negros Super Lanes in Bacolod City.

The champion squad relied on the steady hands of Mitz Villa to seal the win, as his two teammates were outplayed by their counterparts in the last frames of play.

Villa rolled 113 points to lead his team while Rodney Bojos posted 105 for the losing Solid Strikers.

The other members of BCY 2 were Cyril Mayordomo and Lito Destacamento, while Ric Abellar, Ulysses Pacheco and Boy Villanueva for ASSFBI.

The BCY I La Filipina I, who suffered defeat in the hands of Solid Strikers, 317-351, settled for second runner-up.

KMH – Team Mike outplayed Center Line 2 in the homestretch, 318-312, to grab the title in category B.

Carrying the colors for Team Mike were Katoy Deocadez, Michael Corral, Toto Flores and Essho Garcia, while Joemarie Jopillo, Mark Andren, Richard Biasca, Lois Palenge and Erwin Aguero.

Deocadez top scored for the champion team with 124, while Andren rolled 115 for CL2.

Apollo Restaurant placed second runner-up.

In the ladies department, ASSFBI Ladies crushed RJ Stars/NPBC in the finals, 349-306 for the women’s crown.

The members of the winning squad were Sylvia “Wonder Woman” Del Rosario, Tess Robles, Lea Javier and Juliet Regollo, while Rowena Juarez, Mae Memoracion, Jing2x Lamis, MaySantia-on, Jane Trocio and Ann Mijares for RJ.

KMH Jobbie and BCY Salto placed second and third runners-up.

PLS Electronz and Solid Strikers/ASSFBI recorded the team highest single and triple production with 384 and 1,073 points in the men’s bracket, while ASSFBI in the women’s side with 373 and 996, respectively.

Silverado and Center Line 1 won in the consolation contest for the non-winning entries.

The individual awardees were Isok Villarosa (BCY 2) who registered the men’s highest pinning with 95 points, Lawrence Llena (PLS) in single with 153, and Mitz Villa (BCY 2) in triple with 408;

Rowena Juarez (NPBC) in the women’s pinning with 95, Sharon Sioson (KMH Jobbie) in single with 161 and Jennifer Jamora (BCY Salto) in triple with 375.*HLG
