Eufre’s 4th quarter blast
lifts Cobra over Barista

 

Badong Eufre scored 15 of his 17 points in the fourth quarter to help Cobra repulse Barista, 55-50, in Class B action of the Fil-Sino Basketball Asia Brewery Cup Friday night Bacolod Tay Tung High School Covered Court.

In the other game, Summit blew away Coco Fresh, 81-47.

It was a low scoring game between Cobra and Barista with both teams scoring no more than 13 points in every quarter except the payoff period.

Jeremy Coo added 11 points for Cobra as Tonton Chua shot 9 and Fred Ong with 6 points.

Onjo Yap led Barista with 11 points, and Joel Masadia and Luigi Coo made 10 points apiece.

In the nightcap, Summit dominated in all quarter as they led at 50-22 at the break behind Kieron Tan, Beejay Paredes and Efraim Valencia.

Paredes had a game-high 17 points, Valencia and Tan produced 12 points each. Michael Ang drilled 11, Cris Pascua had 10 points and Marc Lo with 6 points.

Allan Elevencionado led Coco Fresh with 11 points, Bren Tajonera shot 10, Alex Fernandez, Mark Cueva and JP Tan with 6 points apiece.*
