Ceres faces Home United
in AFC Cup match today

Ceres-Negros FC resumes its campaign in the 2018 AFC Cup with an away match at the Jalan Besar Stadium in Singapore against Home United today.

Risto Vidakovic, who believes in the philosophy that every football match is different, said the win last year against Home United during the ASEAN Zone final is irrelevant to tonight’s game.

“For me, last year doesn’t count anymore,” said Vidakovic in the Ceres’ website. “What we did, we have to forget it. We have a new competition and we have to prove who we are and what we did it last year,” he added.

“Everybody knows who we are now and they will be prepared for us. We have to work harder, we have to fight every game, and we have to be disciplined if we want to repeat what we did last year,” Vidakovic said.

Coming off a staggering 9-0 win against Cambodia’s BoeungKet FC two weeks ago, Ceres aims for another three points against Home United that will put them on top in Group F of the qualifiers.

After today’s match in Singapore, the Busmen will return to the Pana-ad for the March 3 PFL match against Stallions Laguna and against Myanmar’s Shan United on March 6 in the AFC Cup.*NAB
