MPadilla has new
police chief again

The Moises Padilla Police Station has a new police chief again.

Senior Inspector Renante Salgado assumed as officer-in-charge of the Moises Padilla Police Station on Feb. 23.

He replaced Senior Inspector Alfredo de Leon, who had assumed as town police officer-in-charge Jan. 15.

De Leon yesterday confirmed his relief as Moises Padilla officer-in-charge. He is now assigned at the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office.

Before his present position, Salgado had served as deputy police chief of Himamaylan City and Kabankalan City.

De Leon used to be the police chief of Pulupandan, before swapping positions with Senior Inspector Allan Reloj.

Relo, then Moises Padilla police chief, was the transfered to thePulupandan Police Station after he arrested Vice Mayor Ella Celestina Garcia-Yulo and her husband, Felix Mathias Segundo Feria Yulo, at a checkpoint December 19 last year, for alleged illegal possession of explosives, firearms and drugs, in the town.

The Yulo couple, who were both freed from jail on Jan. 6, were charged for illegal possession of firearms and explosives. * GPB
