Dengue cases drop
by 15% in January

The Provincial Health Office reported yesterday 293 cases of dengue in Negros Occidental from January to February or a decrease of 15 percent from 343 cases last year.

One death in EB Magalona was reported, compared to three in the same period last year, it also said.

The most number of dengue cases reported in the first month of this year was in Sagay City with 40, followed by Bago City with – 34, Victorias City – 27, Silay City – 22, Cadiz City - 22, La Carlota City – 17, Kabankalan City - 17, EB Magalona – 16, Manapla -13, Murcia – 11, Himamaylan City – 10;

Escalante City - 9, Talisay City – 8, Isabela - 6, Hinigaran - 6, Ilog -5, Toboso – 4, Hinoba-an - 4 , Calatrava - 4, Valladolid – 3, Binalbagan - 3, San Carlos City - 3, Candoni - 2, San Enrique - 2, Pulupandan - 2, MoisesPadilla - 2 and Pontevedra – 1.*CPG
