Mechanic nabbed
for gun possession

The Amlan police, arrested an automotive mechanic for illegal possession of firearms in Barangay Poblacion, Amlan, Negros Oriental, Monday.

Armed with a warrant of arrest issued by Regional Trial Court Branch 43 Judge Winston Villegas the police nabbed the suspect identified as Rolando Taping Intero, 46, single, of Sitio Pinglayaan, Brgy. Datagon in Pamplona. Bail bonds of P80,000 and P120,000 were recommended for his temporary liberty.

Reports of the Negros Oriental Provincial Police Office showed that at about 2:30 a.m. Monday, joint elements of the Amlan Police Station, led by PSI Michael Rubia, the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, led by PSI Deogracias Diaz III, with SPO3 Rogelio Daguhoy Jr., SPO3 Constancio Rosales, and PO1 Gil Sumagaysay and personnel of the Pamplona Police Station, arrested the suspect, who is now under the custody of the Amlan police.*
