Belo endorsers
join charity run, walk

On their7 th consecutive year, the St. Scholastica's Bacolod Alumnae Foundation Inc. (SSBAFI) and the Province of Negros Occidental will be co-presenting “Run and Save a Life 7”, a charity run/walk event at the Provincial Capitol Lagoon Park 4:30 a.m. Sunday.

Race categories include 3k, 5k and 10k courses. Still included in this year's event are the 6 th Kolasa 3k Batch Walkathon (open to all SSA-B batches) and the 6 th Belo 5k Group Walk Challenge to be sponsored by the Belo Medical Group and participated by the Capitolville Walkers, Sta. Clara Homeowners' Association, St. John's Institute Alumni Association and USLS Alumni Association Bacolod.

Joining this charity event are Belo Medical Group's celebrity endorsers Derek Ramsay and Korina Sanchez-Roxas. This is Derek Ramsay's sixth consecutive time to join SSBAFI's fundraising run-- the said Foundation being one of his favorite charities.

This popular Filipino-British actor, model, host and multi-sport athlete is best known for his TV roles in Ysabella and Magkaribal, and his commercially successful films like The Unkabogable Praybeyt Benjamin, No Other Woman and English Only, Pleasewhere he bagged three acting awards.

Ramsay's latest project is All of Me, where he won the Best Actor award in the recent 43 rd Metro Manila Festival.

Korina Sanchez-Roxas is the renowned broadcast journalist, magazine show host, radio anchor, newspaper columnist and wife of former DILG Secretary Mar Roxas. This will be her second time to join SSBAFI's charity event.

Funds raised will go to the Foundation's “Save A Life Project” which has benefited hundreds of pediatric patients in government hospitals, including cardiac patients who have been sent to Manila for open heart surgeries, and “Give A Life Project” which has given free immunizations to thousands of children in the different cities and municipalities of Negros Occidental.

Registration fees are:: 3k (Open, Male/Female, with race bib) P250, 5k (Open, Male/Female, with race bib and running shirt only for the first 250 registrants) P300 and 10k (Open, Male/Female, with race bib and running shirt only for the first 250 registrants) P350.

Cash prizes and medals will be given to the top three male and female winners of 3k, 5k and 10k categories. Fun prizes await the overall winner in the Kolasa 3k Batch Walkathon.

A P10,000 cash prize, sponsored by the Belo Medical Group, will be given to the champion in the Belo 5k Group Walk Challenge.*
