Circular on admission
to take effect Oct.

The Philippine Health Insurance Corp. yesterday said its Circular No. 2017-0021 shall be applied to all admissions starting October 1, 2018, its advisory said.

This is to give PhilHealth members ample time to pay their premium contributions and comply with the prescribed sufficient regularity of payment before the first day of confinement.

Hence, the rule on three months contributions within the immediate six months before the first day of confinement shall be required for benefit availment covering the period January 1, 2018 to September 30, 2018, Dr. Celestina Ma. Jude De La Serna, interim/OIC president and chief executive officer of PhilHealth said in the advisory furnished the Daily STAR.

All members admitted from January 1, 2018 onwards, who were unable to avail themselves of benefits due to lacking sufficient regularity may file their claims directly with PhilHealth.

For more details, those interested may contact PhilHealth's 24/7 corporate action center hotline at (02) 441-7442, or email actioncenter@philhealth.gov.ph , the advisory added.*
