Rep. Manuel Sagarbarria (Neg. Or., 2 nd District) said he will allocate funds for two bridges in the 2019 national budget, a press release said.
Sagarbarria said the city needs the bridges now, that is why Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo will make sure that the construction of the two bridges at behind the Foundation University and near the Bureau of Internal Revenue building that will cost P100 million, or P50 million for each bridge, will start this year, provided the timeline for the bidding/procurement process is followed.
Sagarbarria said that due to the prudent use of government funds by the present administration, the city was able to save enough funds to build the two bridges from its own coffers.
Mayor Felipe Remollo is grateful to Sagarbarria for his offer and he also hopes he will assist the city in closing the Candau-ay dumpsite and in establishing the sanitary landfill, that has been a major concern for more than a decade.*
