Altruist paddlers
win gold in PSC tilt

 

Frances Elaine Arguelles of Negros Occidental High School and Neka Daguia of St. Scholastica’s Academy Arguelles captured the gold medal during the Visayas leg of the Philippine Sports Commission Table Tennis Tournament finals held recently in Ormoc City.

Arguelles showcased her skill and prowess to take home the 16-under gold medal by beating Lindy Darlo of Cebu, 3-1, while Neka Daguia bagged the 12-under gold medal via a 3-0 battle in the finals versus Andrea Deonde of Capiz.

Meanwhile, Dirk Nichole Atilano of LACPPA Altruists took the silver medal in the 12-under category. Settling for the bronze medal in the 16-under category is Ken Memoria of NOHS Altruists.

The competition was organized by the Philippine Sports Commission with the objective to discover young talents to represent the country in future events.*
