More violators of the Commission on Elections gun ban were arrested in Bacolod City, yesterday.
Two teenagers identified as Daryl Espino, 18, and Jojjie Sambilad, 18, were nabbed for allegedly carrying guns and knives in Calong-Calong Zone 1 in Barangay Singcang-Airport, Bacolod, at about 3:55 a.m. yesterday by Police Station 8 personnel.
Seized from Espino and Sambilad were an improvised pin gun loaded with a live ammunition of a .38 caliber revolver, another improvised firearm with a 9 mm live ammunition, a kitchen knife, and a butterfly knife, police records show.
Meanwhile, a 22-year-old man was also caught threatening and chasing his neighbor with a knife in Purok 4 Magsungay, Barangay Singcang-Airport, at about 1 a.m. yesterday.
Geron dela Cruz, was nabbed on the complaint of Bryan Gonzaga, 30, the police said.
Recovered from Dela Cruz was a 15-inch long knife, police records show.
Senior Insp. Armilyn Vargas, Bacolod City Police Office public information officer, said bladed weapons are also covered by the COMELEC gun ban, that will be in effect until May 21.*SGG
