Day 1 of festival records P2M in sales

The Panaad sa Negros Festival hit P2 million in sales on Day 1 of the celebration, which is 12 percent higher compared to last year, the Panaad Marketing Committee records showed yesterday.

This year, the total sales on the first day of the festival Saturday was P2,188,170,25 from its six festival sites, which is P227,343.2 higher than that of 2017, at P1,960,827.05.

The sales came from the LGU pavilions, eco-garden show, organic market, livestock/dairy fair, concessionaires, and food park.

Among the festival sites, the LGU pavilions of the 32 towns and cities generated the highest sales, amounting to P1,035,279.23,followed by the concessionaires at P536,368, eco-garden show P275,700, livestock/dairy fair P127,300, food park at P124,700, and organic market at P88,823.

Last year, the LGU sales were at P1,154,632.50, eco-garden show P131,250, organic market P193,991.55, livestock/dairy fair at P114,500, concessionaires P363,453, and bamboo village at P3,000.
