Let us act together to end the long suffering from a senseless war and unnecessary loss of lives, Castil added.
The NOCPPO also denounced the atrocities by the motorcycle-riding suspects believed to be NPA assassins.
Showing lack of concern for the safe t y of the community, Castil said, the lawless elements carelessly fire d on civilians who were attending a funeral wake.
Chief inspector Reuben Pajarito, Isabela police chief, yesterday admitted that they are facing a hard time in convincing witnesses to come out and help attain justice for the families of the victims.
The series of killings allegedly perpetrated by the NPA Special Partisan Unit has already alarmed the Philippine National Police in Negros Occidental.
Last month, the NPA Leonardo Panaligan Command claimed responsibility for the killing of five civilians, including a rebel returnee, they accused of being military informants in central Negros.*GPB
