Negrenses part of dance group
that won top intíl awards in U.S.

Three Negrenses were among the members of the Ateneo dance company that won the top prize at the Dance Excellence Festival in Los Angeles, California, held April 1 to 7.

Erica Martin, Isabelle Sarrosa and Riana Jalandoni of Negros were part of the Company of Ateneo Dancers-Contemporary that took the top prize among a field of performers from various parts of the world and the United States.

The CADS also received the “Excellence” and “Judges’ Favorite” awards.

The group performed in Disneyland before their final performance day at the Marriott Hotel LAX.

The Dance Excellence Festival draws artists from 28 countries and 5 continents to the by-invitation only event in Los Angeles who are selected for their dedication to dance, performance and art education, its website said.

This festival also hosts the best in classes, workshops and performances, it added.*CPG
