Guns, ammo seized in Pamplona

Pamplona policemen, armed with a search warrant, raided the house of suspect Gerry Amada yesterday in Barangay Yupisan, Pamplona, Negros Oriental, and seized several firearms, magazines and ammunition.

Senior Insp. John Lynbert Yango and his team conducted the raid, by virtue of a search warrant issued by Judge Leah Villarubia, for violation of Republic Act No. 10591, or illegal possession of firearms.

The firearms are now in the custody of the Pamplona Police Station, and appropriate charges will be filed against Amada.

The PNP Pamplona team members were SPO3 Joseph Olis, SPO1 Sandre Torres, PO3 James Culi, PO2 Julio Cañolas, PO2 Elmer Maraña, PO2 Melcris Garcia, and PO2 Mark Ladion.*RG
