O Hotel marks 10th anniversary

O Hotel Bacolod, a Hall of Famer in Trip Advisor for five consecutive years, marks its 10 th Anniversary today.

The whole day celebration starts with a motorcade at 8 a.m. going around the city proper from O Hotel, San Sebastian to O Residences, turning around at City Mall, Mandalagan and heading back to the hotel, its press release said.

Added fanfare to the caravan are the La Carlota Drum Beaters.

As a way of expressing its appreciation and gratitude to its clients, those who will check in on the anniversary day will be given special discounts such as 50 percent on room accommodation and 20 percent on meals in the resto/coffeeshop, the press release said.

As a part of the anniversary celebration, on September 9, a feeding program was held in Barangay 35 as the Hotel's way of sharing its blessings.

It was in Sept. 13, 2007 when the hotel was acquired by its owners Edgar and Naty Sy. The couple decided to name the Hotel after the first letter of their eldest son's name, Oliver.

Right from its maiden years, the hotel consistently got very positive reviews both from foreign and local guests that are posted on Trip Advisor, which is the largest travel site.

For five consecutive years, Trip Advisor has conferred an Award of Excellence to O Hotel in recognition of its being one of the most exceptional performers in Global business community.

Having won the award for five consecutive years, Trip Advisor conferred the Hall of Fame Award to O Hotel in 2015.

Cited by the travelers/guests is O Hotel's “professional, hospitable and accommodating staff, immaculately clean rooms, excellent service, good ambiance, a home away from home”, the press release said.

The hotel is presently managed by the tandem of general managers Natalia Joy Sy and Kyle Schullery.*
