Diocese of Bacolod
sets 5-year priorities
BY CARLA P. GOMEZ

The Diocese of Bacolod will work at strengthening the moral and social values of families in the face of emerging realities like extra judicial killings, the drug problem, and climate change, Bacolod Bishop Patricio Buzon said yesterday.

Buzon said these are among the priorities included in a 5-year diocesan pastoral plan prepared at the Second Diocesan Pastoral Assembly that ended yesterday.

“We just finished the assembly. The basic elements were voted on by the 315 delegates,” he said.

Other elements of the 5-year pastoral plan are a vision of a listening Church, a unified and effective financial system for the whole diocese, and open communication among the bishop, priests, religious and lay faithful.

It will be aroadmap for the diocese to follow for the next five years, he added.*CPG
