Crisis center for boys
eyed in Dumaguete

Dumaguete City Councilor Lilani Ramon is pushing for the establishment of a crisis center that will serve as a shelter for boys who are victims of abuse.

In a forum recently, Ramon cited the need for a crisis center for boys who are victims of abuse, violence and other forms of abuses in the city.

She noted that Casa Esperanza is used as temporary crisis shelter only and it caters to women and female children who are victims of violence, abuse and other crisis situations.

The Dumaguete Youth Home in Brgy. Talay, on the other hand, serves as a home for male children who are in conflict with the law.*RG
