Brownout Saturday

The National Grid Corp. of the Philippines has advised the Negros Oriental Electric Cooperative 2 of power service interruption on November 18, from 7 a.m. to 5p.m. in Dumaguete City.

The Noreco 2 management said in a press release yesterday that the reason for the power interruption is that NGCP will de-energize its Pulantubig-Siaton 69kV transmission line section and will conduct reconfiguration of lateral line at the Bulak substation, and replacement of rotten cross-arm.

Areas affected areBagacay, Bajumpandan, Banilad, Canday-ong, Cadawinonan, Calindagan, Cantil-e, Junob, Mangnao, Tabuc-tubig, Talay, Colon Extension, Colon Street, Legaspi Street, Locsin Street, Pinili Street, public market area, Saint Louis Village, Sta. Rosa Street, Tinago, Batinguel, Cervantes Street, CiriacoEspina Street,Locsin Street (ACSAT area), Meciano Road, Perdices Street, Perpetual Church area, Real Street, Rizal Boulevard area, San Jose Extension, San Jose Street, San Juan Street, Silliman Avenue, Sta. Catalina Street, Taclobo and Robinsons Place in Dumaguete City.

However, Noreco 2 also said all works may be finished ahead of time and power may be restored earlier than scheduled.*RG
