A statement will be read after the 51 st anniversary mass of the St. John Institute's Queen of Peace Church (Hua Ming) in Bacolod City this morning to announce the peaceful disengagement of the Diocese of Bacolod and SJI relationship on May 31, a source said yesterday.
The source said the statement was drafted in consultation with Fil-Sino leaders after an April 28 meeting between the Diocese and the SJI Board of Trustees where Bacolod Bishop Patricio Buzon decided the Diocese will withdraw its ministry from the church.

The Quezon City Regional Trial Court has denied Coca-Cola's motion for reconsideration to its earlier ruling denying a Temporary Restraining Order on SugarOrder No. 3 that grants the Sugar Regulatory Administration authority to regulateimported high fructose corn syrup.
But Quezon City RTC Branch 98 Judge Marilou Runes-Tamang said the hearing on the propriety of issuing a writ of preliminary injunction and eventually of a permanent injunction, as well as the principal case stands as scheduled.

P11M in shabu seized at jail
