1 killed, another hurt in shooting

Two riding-in-tandem suspects shot and killed a 35-year-old man and injured his companion in Brgy. Sulodpan, Bacong, Negros Oriental, Thursday.

Investigation of the police showed that the two suspects, one of them armed with a .45 caliber pistol, opened fire on the two victims identified as Manalo Clavano Lorenzo and Rene Aldas.

The gunman and his accomplice then fled on board a black Honda beat motorcycle.

Lorenzo, who sustained multiple gunshot wounds, was declared dead on arrival in a hospital, while Aldas survived the attempt on his life, despite of his injuries, a report of the Police Regional Office 18 showed.

Policemen, who responded to the shooting incident, recovered seven fired cartridges, a slug of .45 caliber pistol, a cellular phone, and a white hat.*GPB
