Visit of relics of saint couple in
Bacolod to strengthen faith

The first visit of the Pilgrim Relics of saints Louis and Zelie Martin, the first couple canonized together as saints, in the Diocese of Bacolod on Sunday to Tuesday, aims to strengthen Christian families and their faith amidst the rising numbers of broken homes and marriages.

About 20,000 individuals are expected to join the caravan and the venerations, Sergs Tan, co-coordinator of the event, said during a press conference at the Bishop's House in Bacolod, yesterday.

Pamela Henares, the marshal committee coordinator, said they are asking the cooperation and understanding of everyone so the visit of the Pilgrim Relics will be a solemn one. moremoremore

Negros PNP morale high
amid narco-cops

Senior Supt. William Señoron said yesterday that the morale of personnel of the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office remains high, despite allegations that some of them are being linked to the illegal drug trade.

“We are not demoralized,” Señoron, who is the provincial police director of Negros Occidental, said.

Sixteen NOCPPO personnel, including five police commissioned officers, have been relieved since October last year up to this time by Camp Crame, and re-assigned to the Autonomous Region for Muslim Mindanao and the Cordillera Administrative Region, pending investigations on their alleged involvement in the illegal drug trade. moremoremore

League of Negros mayors
supports war on drugs

The League of Municipalities in the Philippines -Negros Oriental chapter yesterday said it is 100 percent behind President Rodrigo Duterte in the war against illegal drugs.
