Case 1H for final seat

TCB Auto Parts merchandising dropped the upset axe on Case 1H Agriculture to advance to the championship round with a 91-84 victory in the ABC -Crown Agri Trading Cup last night at the Ayala North Gym in Talisay City.

Ranked No. 3, TCB had to beat second seed Case 1H twice for the right to face top seed Brixton in the best-of- three championship series.

TCB raced to an early 10-point lead in the first half behind Andrei Dadivas' 18 points in the first quarter.

Bacolod SP approves P4.2 M
budget for 2018 Prov'l Meet

The Sangguniang Panlungsod of Bacolod City has approved the P4,211,500 budget for the participation of the Bacolod City Schools Division to the Negros Occidental Provincial Athletic Meet.

The request, submitted by Schools Division Superintendent Cynthia Demavivas through a proposed Memorandum of Agreement between the City of Bacolod and Department of Education, was approved by the City Council during its regular session on Nov. 29, 2017.

The Bacolod City Division holds the distinction as the champion of the 2 nd Negros Island Region Athletic Meet held in Dumaguete City this year.

Tabal reigns anew
in Milo Marathon

Mary Joy Tabal just made an unprecedented feat in front of her fellow Cebuanos.

Tabal scored her fifth consecutive win in the national finals of the Milo Marathon in Cebu City on Sunday, becoming the first Filipino woman to do so.

Tabal, who finished the Rio Olympics marathon last year, clocked in at 2:58:01, edging second placer Christabel Martes (3:04:20) and third placer Jho-An Villarma (3:11:26) among the other local female racers.

Tabal also finished third in the open category, giving her P200,000 aside from the P150,000 that she earned for successfully defending the women's title.
