Senior Supt.  Jack Wanky , Bacolod police acting director, said last night that he would look into the matter.

Owners of several restaurants in that area, who were recent victims of theft, met yesterday to compare notes and said their CCTV footages show that they were hit by the same person wearing a hood, who appears to be in his teens.

They said the thief usually enters their establishments by boring a small hole in the roof when no one is around.

The thief has stolen from P10,000 to P50,000 from various restaurants, Luigi Vargas of Orange Karenderia at Lacson Street, said. Vargas said about P17,000 was taken from his restaurant Wednesday night.

The thief apparently prefers to take paper bills, he does not take coins or food, OmonMaravilla, owner of Pendy's at Lacson Street, said.

Maravilla said the thief took P10,000 from his restauranteither Wednesday night or early Thursday.

Vargas said the same thief also hit Mushu and Pepe's restaurants in Mandalaganlast week, and took P50,000 from Ice Avenue Café at 19 th Lacson Street Thursday night.

Maravilla said a Japanese restaurant at LacsonStreet was also victimized by the thief, and he did not know if he was acting alone or had cohorts.*CPG
