Coca-Cola Philippines has began the P850 million expansion of its bottling facility in Barangay Mansilingan, Bacolod City, that will double its use of locally-sourced sugar soon, its Bacolod plant manager Bernard Engada, said yesterday.
Coca-Cola's bottling facility in Bacolod City has been producing beverages with 100 percent locally-sourced sugar since 1998 when the facility opened, Engadatold the media, who were taken on a plant tour yesterday.
Panaad fest kicks off today

Thousands of Negrenses are expected at the 24 th Panaadsa Negros Festival opening today at the Panaad Park and Stadium in Barangay Mansilingan, Bacolod City, with the theme, “Panaad: Shining Bright @ 24”.
The celebration will kick off with a thanksgiving mass in the morning, to be followed by the “Lechonaad”, a parade of lechons, at the Provincial VeterinaryOffice Activity Area.
Ribbon-cutting ceremonies for the Panaad Tourism, Agri-Trade Fair and Exhibits, Organikna Negros Agri-Fest andAgri-Clinic, Livestock and Dairy Fair, Eco-Garden Show, Solid Waste Management Advocacy, Exhibit and Trade Show by the United Architects of the Philippines, Bamboo Innovation Centre, and the Negros Island Photo Exhibit and Festival Costume Display will also follow after the mass.

Mayor denies ASG presence
