A trisikad driver was sentenced to life imprisonment yesterday for selling P500 worth of shabu to a Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency agent in a bus-bust operation in Purok Avocado, Barangay 20, Bacolod City on Feb. 17, 2010.
Bacolod Regional Trial Court Executive Judge Raymond Joseph Javier found Eugene AgsamPillada guilty beyond reasonable doubt of violation of Section 5 , Article II of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 for selling.07 gram of shabuand sentenced him to suffer life imprisonment and pay a fine of P500,000.
He was also found guilty of possession of drugs and sentenced to 12 years and eight months as minimum to 17 years and 8 months as maximum imprisonment and to pay a fine of P300,000.
Pillada'simmediate transfer to the National Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa for the service of his sentence was also ordered.
In a separate decision, Javier found Bobby OcampoTacuyan guilty of possession of drugs and sentenced him to 12 years and eight months as minimum to 17 years and 8 months as maximum imprisonment, and to pay a fine of P300,000.
He was nabbed for having .35 gram shabu in his possession at his residence in PurokSigay, Barangay 2, Bacolod, on Sept. 25, 2005, information filed in court said.*CPG
