Senior police officers come and go in Negros Island Region, with Chief Supt. Renato Gumban relinquishing his command of Police Regional Office 18 next month.
This is because Gumban will reach the mandatory retirement age of 56 on May 21.
But the change in PRO 18 leadership has been scheduled on May 19, with PNP chief Ronald de la Rosa as the presiding officer at the turnover of command ceremony. Gumban said this when he bade farewell to members of the Regional Advisory Council for Police Transformation and Development during its regular meeting yesterday at Camp Alfredo Montelibano Sr. in Bacolod City.
