Ombudsman-Visayas holding
ITAPS seminar in San Carlos

The Office of the Ombudsman-Visayas Regional Office VI, headed by acting director Pio Dargantes, is conducting a seminar on “Integrity, Transparency and Accountability in Public Service”, participated in by officials and employees of the San Carlos City government in Negros Occidental yesterday and today, a press release said.

Topics include “Understanding Corruption”, “Accountability of Public Officers”, “Penalizing Corruption” and “Making a Difference in Public Service”. This is the fourth ITAPS seminar conducted by the Ombudsman-Visayas Regional Office VI with the San Carlos LGU, and is part of the campaign for clean governance, from top officials in government down to the grassroots in the barangays, municipalities, cities and provinces all over the Visayas area.

The free seminar is made possible in cooperation with the city government of San Carlos, through Mayor Gerardo Valmayor Jr. and HR manager Chatty Delima.

National government agencies and local government units can avail of the free seminar by writing Paul Elmer Clemente, deputy Ombudsman for the Visayas, through Dargantes, and send it to the Ombudsman-Visayas Regional Office VI, 2nd Floor CAP Building, Gen.
