Neri assumes as
Task Force Davao chief
BY GILBERT BAYORAN

Col. Erwin Neri, who used to be assigned in Negros Oriental, is now the new commander of Task Force Davao.

Neri, former commander of the 79th Infantry Battalion in Negros Oriental, replaced Col. Henry Robinson, who was relieved from his post as Task Force Davao chief, following an explosion that killed 14 people, and injured more than 60 others last week.

It was Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio who requested for the relief of Robinson and Davao City police chief, Senior Supt. Michael John Dubria.

But PNP chief Ronald dela Rosa has yet to designate the successor of Dubria.

Neri, a member of the Philippine Military Academy Class of 1988, said, “Let us work for intelligence fusion to strengthen intelligence monitoring to cover all areas of concern.”

But he stressed that intelligence does not only come from their intelligence units, but also from the community.*GPB
