Revelers will experience four nights of big concerts at the Electric MassKara, as part of the highlight week of the MassKara Festival in Bacolod City, starting tomorrow.
San Miguel Beer, Globe Telecom, Coca-Cola, Pepsi Cola and several other corporations will turn the whole Tourism Strip along Lacson Street into one big street party, with concert stages along strategic areas, a press release from the festival organizers said yesterday.
From tomorrow to Saturday, San Miguel Beer will make the area at the Philippine National Bank “vibrate with radical underground dance beats from Bacolod's purveyors of tasteful electronic — DJs Bart Montinola and Clyde Harris”, the press release said.
“Enjoy this free-entrance MassKara street party as we prime you for one of Manila's upcoming DJ front liners, DJ Marion Angelo,” it added.
For three nights, witness the amalgamation of house, techno and everything in between on this free DJ consortium brought to you by San Miguel Beer, it also said.
SMB will also have live band performances onstage Sunday as it “winds down and caps the MassKara experience.”
Globe Telecom will have three constellation-themed nights: Orion on Friday, Aquila on Saturday, and Hydra on Sunday.
For the Orion Night, guest DJs are Leandro Zayco and the Patiqueros, Katsy Lee and local Bacolod DJs; for Aquila Night - Elmer Dado and GrupoTribale, Mars Miranda, and local Bacolod DJs; for Hydra Night - DJs Callum David and Funk Avy and local Bacolod DJs.
Coca-Cola will hold a lighting ceremony at the Coke stage 7 p.m. tomorrow, which will be followed by bands Cali Island and Under Tow at 9 p.m.
There will also be a Coca-Cola Zumba Party with special guest Ina Raymundo at 6 p.m. Friday, to be followed at 9 p.m. by bands Third Spin and Up Stream.
Celebrity singer Jimmy Bondoc will entertain the crowd at 8 p.m. Saturday, while bands 6th Degree and Four Seasons will cap the entertainment at the Coke stage on Sunday.
Another stage, which is supported by several sponsors, will also feature Manila DJs.
