Increase in Chinese tourist
arrivals noted in Dumaguete
BY JUDY F. PARTLOW

Chinese tourist arrivals in Dumaguete City, the capital of Negros Oriental, continue to climb to as many as 400 to 600 a week, Provincial Tourism Officer Myla Mae Abellana-Bromo said.

Because of this, some Chinese tour operators are mulling the possibility of a direct charter flight from Dumaguete to Shanghai, China, Bromo said.

The tour operators from China came to the city last month as they wanted to check the facilities at the Dumaguete airport for a direct charter flight from here to Shanghai and vice versa, Bromo said. .
