Gov. Alfredo Marañon Jr. said yesterday “The COA report showing that Neg. Occ. has the third highest net worth after Cebu and Rizal, is indicative of theprovincial government's sound fiscal management, transparency and campaign against corruption, as well as efficient service delivery system.”
A flying saucer–like cloud formation was spotted by residents over Mt. Kanlaon, which straddles Negros Island,on All Saints' Day.
A photo of the unusual cloud formation was also taken from a PHIVOLCS observatory Internet protocol camera in Canlaon City, Negros Oriental, between 8 to 9 a.m. on Tuesday, JayJamelo, Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology science research specialist, said yesterday.
The photo from the stationary IP camera that is attached to the Phivolcs computer network to keep a close watch of the volcano at all times, was then posted on the Phivolcs Facebook page that went viral, he said.
