Leni says thank you
for big win in Negros


“Thank you very much, Negros Occidental, for my big win in all the cities, towns and districts of the entire province,” leading vice presidential candidate Leni Robredo said yesterday.

Robredo issued the thank you on her Facebook page in reaction to a post on the LeniRobredo4VicePresident – Negros Group page.

The post titled “Take a bow, Negros Occidental” showed that Robredo won in every town and city of the province.

3 soldiers killed,
2 others injured

Three soldiers were killed and two others were wounded in a clash with New People's Army rebels in Sitio Carbon, Barangay San Isidro, Toboso in Negros Occidental, at about 6:45 a.m. Saturday.

Private First Class Teddie Alcallaga, PFC Reggie Taleon, and PFC Ramel Perasol, all members of the 62nd Infantry Battalion, died on the spot, 2Lt Ma. Revekka Knothess Roperos, Army 303rd IB Public Information Officer, said.

Corporal Rosevil Villacampa and PFC Jethro Niervo were injured, but are now in stable condition and recuperating at a private hospital in Bacolod, Roperos said. moremoremore
