Vice Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson and Rep. Jeffrey Ferrer (Neg. Occ., 4 th District) will kick off their campaigns for vice governor of Negros Occidental on Easter Sunday.
Ferrer of the United Negros Alliance-National Unity Party said he and his allies in the fourth district will kick off his campaign with a mass at the Divine Mercy Shrine in Brgy. Calumangan, Bago City.
“We will seek God's grace”, he said.
Ferrer said he and Gov. Alfredo Marañon Jr., who is seeking re-election unopposed, will then wage a provincewide campaign.
Lacson of the Love Negros-Nationalist People's Coalition said he, his campaign staff and other supporters will attend masses and church services Sunday morning.
He will then join an early caravan in Victorias City, headed by Mayor Francis Frederick Palanca and his team, on Easter Sunday, and the team of Himamaylan City Mayor Agustin Bascon in the afternoon.
The vice governor said he will spend the first days of the campaign period in the fifth district of Negros Occidental.
He will attend the fiesta celebration of Moises Padilla and the opening salvo of Isabela Mayor Enrique Montilla III's campaign for re-election on Monday afternoon.
The vice governor added that Kabankalan City Mayor Isidro Zayco will have his opening salvo in Brgy. Carol-an on Monday morning, while Mayor Oscar Montilla of Sipalay City will have his on April 2.*CPG
