BUT SENEN SAYS IT'S BUB, NOT POLITICS
BY CARLA GOMEZ

Three members of President Benigno Aquino's Cabinet held meetings with civil society representatives, Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries and barangay captains in Negros Occidental Saturday, to discuss the expansion of the government's Bottom-Up-Budgeting (BUB) program to the barangays.

However, the media was barred from covering and taking pictures of their meetings at the Social Hall at the Provincial Capitol and the Negros Occidental Multi-Purpose Activity Center in Bacolod City , and other areas, raising suspicion that they were in the province to campaign for Liberal Party standard bearer Mar Roxas.

The Cabinet members were Interior Secretary Mel Senen Sarmiento, Social Welfare Secretary Corazon Soliman and Budget Secretary Florencio Abad. moremoremore
