Bacoleña meted life
for P500 shabu sale

A Bacoleña was sentenced yesterday to life imprisonment for the sale .08 gram of shabu for P500 to a police poseur-buyer in 2012.

Bacolod Regional Trial Court Branch 52 Judge Raymond Joseph Javier found Maria Elirica Buison Celis, alias Rica, guilty beyond reasonable doubt for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.

Javier sentenced her to suffer the penalty of life imprisonment and to pay a fine of P500,000. moremoremore

The five-month anti-drug campaign of the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office has yielded more than P7 million in prohibited drugs and the confiscation of 90 firearms.

NOCPPO records also show that a total of 998.5 grams of shabu, with street market value of P7,199,654, were confiscated and 336 suspects arrested, from January to May.

In the campaign against loose firearms, 96 violators were arrested, and 90 firearms recovered. .moremoremore
