Robby Jalandoon sizzled from the three-point area converting on six attempts to finish with 27 points leading Kenny Rogers/Black Mamba to its second straight victory -- against Crown Agri, 107-96, at the ABC-ENCLAVES Cup at the Ayala Northpoint Clubhouse in Talisay City.
Luigi Coo also had a breakout game scoring 12 of his 20 points in the first quarter as he teamed up with Jalandoon to give the Roasters a 32-18 lead.
Crown Agri never threatened the outcome as Kenny Rogers was just better at both ends of the floor. Chac Mirano and Luigino Lacson had 15 points apiece for Kenny Rogers while Snook Versoza finished in double figures with 14.
Reygin Oquiana, Neilbert Alvarez, Gerard Benedicto and Macky Puentevella pooled in 16 points for the win.
Joshua Co led the way for Crown Agri with 29 points but it was not enough to give his team its first win of the tournament.
Paolo Avecilla made four three-pointers en route to 23 points while Boknoy Locsin and Dante Llorca chipped in 15 and 14, respectively. Jake de laPaz, Mau Mondragon and Bourne Sioquim combined for another 15 points. In the battle of unbeaten teams, Fil-Power outlasted Chicken Deli 888, 106-98, to grab solo lead in the tournament.
It was a dominant first three quarters for Fil-Power as they led by as much as 24 points but held on to an 18-point lead at the start of the fourth.
Chicken Deli would start strong in the final quarter cutting the lead down to 8 points after a Willy Dasal jumper with 8:03 remaining in the game.
Ramon Khey hit back-to-back triples to lead an 8-0 run as Fil Power stretched the lead to 16 points once again. Chicken Deli came back strong in the final minutes cutting the lead down to just 6 points on Mark Carmona's drive to the basket with 80 seconds left.
Ronan Batralo and Brian Coo, however, converted on different three-point plays in the final minute to secure the victory.
Khey led the charge for Fil-Power with 18 points, Japeth Cua and Batralo finished with 16 apiece.
B. Coo and John Canobis had 15 and 10 points, respectively.
Ian Abello and Andres Fernandez wound up with 8 points each, while Jeremy Coo, David Lim, Garry Poloyapoy combined for 14 points. Dante Ma paced Chicken Deli with 21, Dasal had 18, Nikol Medina and Carmona added 17 each and Arjay Jamero with 16.
Steven Villanueva, Christian Castro, and Adrian Cuaycong chipped in 9 points.*
